We start with an outstanding eight-race card showcasing the best of off-season talent, including the time-honoured Listed Bagot Handicap (2800m) and the Listed Kensington Stakes (1400m).
The fun doesn’t stop with the last though. As the sun sets, we’re lighting up Flemington with a New Year’s Eve party like no other – the front lawn will be illuminated in a mesmerising wash of colour and dazzling light displays, live music and top DJs play as you stroll beneath the stars and enjoy gourmet food trucks and pop-up bars all whilst surrounded by a symphony of light and sound.
Families will be spoilt too, with fun for all ages across the lawn including free rides and games, face painting and even a kids disco, plus spectacular views of the 9:30pm family fireworks from Footscray Park.
Then, as midnight approaches, Flemington will join in one big countdown to 2026 with unbeatable views of the Melbourne CBD as they erupt in a dazzling fireworks display.
This is New Year’s Eve, Flemington style — thrilling racing, unforgettable celebrations, and entertainment for partygoers of every age!
Trains will run to and from Flemington for the race day and from the conclusion of the race day until venue close. The train times are being confirmed by Metro and will be released soon.
